In 2010 Jo Lord and Annie Day are going to run over 6 days, 151 miles (243 km) in the Marathon des Sables endurance race across the Sahara Desert in Morocco. The equivalent of six marathons in a row, carrying all our food and equipment. (Click here to find out more about the race)

WHY? To be honest I don't think either of us have the answer to that question, other than the challenge, a once in a life time opportunity and because we know we can!

However we will also be raising money for Macmillans cancer support and a local charity in Hay-on-Wye, The North Weir Trust. Over the next two years we want to raise as much money as possible for both these extremely worthwhile causes.

This is where you come in to our challenge.
We need to raise nearly £6000 to get us to the desert with the right equipment. We need sponsorship from businesses and individuals who believe in us. In exchange for your sponsorship we will promote your business on our website and all literature and running gear. You can use our story and any photos videos of the event for your own promotions.
